Meet Jon
A lifelong Iowan who found his calling in Medicare.
Jon grew up in central Iowa and has called this community home his entire life. After earning a BA in Economics from the University of Iowa in 1988 and a long career in business, Jon made a deliberate pivot — one driven by purpose.
He founded Kelderman Insurance with a clear mission: help people navigate Medicare without the confusion, pressure, or fine print. As an independent agent, Jon works with multiple top-rated carriers — so his only loyalty is to you.
Jon is licensed in Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Part D, ACA Marketplace, Long-Term Care, and Life Insurance. He has been recognized with a National Convention Award.

From the corporate world to her family's business — and loving every minute.
Sandy spent years building a successful career in the corporate world, developing a sharp eye for organization, process, and genuine client service. When she retired, she didn’t slow down — she joined Jon at Kelderman Insurance.
Sandy brings warmth, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. Whether you’re meeting us for the first time or calling with a question years later, Sandy makes sure you feel taken care of.
Outside the office, Sandy and Jon are proud grandparents of four — which gives them a very personal understanding of why protecting your health and financial future matters.

In the Community
Giving back to the people we serve.
Jon regularly hosts free Medicare education events throughout the Des Moines metro — from Pizza Ranch in Waukee to community centers across Dallas County. These events are open to anyone turning 65 or already on Medicare who wants straight answers in plain English.
May is Williams Syndrome Awareness Month — a cause close to Jon’s heart. His personal experience gives him a deep understanding of how critical the right health coverage is for families navigating complex medical needs.
